09.11.2008 With the race in Florida the season was over for our team. And what a season this was: three Worldchampion title (in OSY400, O250 and O350), one European Champion title (F350) and two Italian Champion title (OSY400 and O250). This was the most successful year in the history of the C&B Team and we all are very proud and happy for our drivers. At first we want to thank all our mechanics. They did a great job not only this year and spent a lot of time with working on the boats and engines, with testing and repairing and thinking about what could be improved. We also want to thank their families for all the understanding and patience and all the time they had to spend without their husbands and fathers. We also want to thank Giuseppe Rossi for the amazing engines that powered us reliable through the whole season. Because every racer knows: to win a race you have to finish first. Especially Alex want to thank Tiziano Trombetta for the excellent boat he made for him. From the first moment on driver and boat were a perfect unit. A huge THANK YOU goes to our sponsors for all their support. It would have been impossible to race five Worldchampionships, three European series and all italian races without the support they give us. This year the team has to travel not only all over Italy but also to Sweden, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and the USA. Three drivers raced in five different classes this year and the financial expenditure was immense. Our sponsors were our backbone over all the years and we want to thank them for their trust. We don´t want to forgot to thank our families that supported us from the first time we set a foot in a raceboat. Without them we would never have come that far. They were our first and lasting sponsors and they give us all the time and space to let our dreams come true. And last but not least we want to thank our friends and fans. Your support and friendship gave us a lot of power and we want to thank every single one of you for all those friendly, comforting, cheering or easing words you said or send.

31.10.2008 Lake Alfred (Florida) - the 3rd Worldchampion-title for the C&B team The worldchampionship in the classes O125, O175 and O250 in Lake Alfred, Florida was a long and impatiently expected event and non of us ever dared to think that it will be such a success for our team. Our drivers started in all three classes - Diego raced in O125 and O175 and Max and Alex in the O250 class. Tuesday and Wednesday the team-members traveled from Italy and Germany to Florida. The containers with the boats were already there and were waiting to be unpacked. The Thursday was spent with unpacking the containers, with put up the tents and with assemble the engines. Max made some first testlaps on the lake. Friday was reserved for practice and qualifying. Alex could qualify for the second place in the starting grid, Max was fifth. Diego qualified for pole position in the 175 class but had some technical problems in the qualifiying for the 125 class and had to start from the end of the grid. On Saturday Diego had to race all four heats in O125. Max and Alex the first two in O250. Diego had a good start but could not defend his second position over the race. He finished fourth. The second and third heat he finished behind a towing boat when his engine broke down. The fourth heat he could win with a big gap in front of the other competitors. In the final result he finished on position four after Francesco Marsala (ITA), Giuseppe Rossi (ITA) and Victor Vo (HUN). Alex had not a perfect start in the first O250 heat but could catch Renè Behncke (GER) and Salvatore Chiuri (ITA) before the first turn. He was the first out of the turn and didn´t give up his lead until the finish line. Max was pinned between Salvatore Chiuri and Ilkka Rytkönen (FIN) and had to battle in the middle of the field. He finished the first heat in 8th position. The second heat was a clear start - finish - win for Alex in front of Behncke and Olle Dickfors (SWE). Max, who had to start in the middle of the crowd, could not find a way through the strong middle field. He finished on 7th. Sunday was another four heats-day for Diego - this time in the 175 class. He started the first heat from pole but again his engine broke down after only a few laps. The heat was won by Marian Jung (SVK) closely followed by Giuseppe Rossi (ITA). Diego had again a good start in the second heat but could not defend against Jung and Rossi. This heat was won by Rossi, followed by Jung. Diego finished third. The third heat was again a thriller between Jung and Rossi. Diego could again finish in a good third position. The fourth heat was an amazing battle between Jung and Rossi. Sometimes Rossi could get very close to Jung but could not overtake him until the last turn when Jung hits the turning buoy. So Rossi won in front of Diego and Ivan Copelli (ITA). In the final result won Giuseppe Rossi the worldchampionship in front of Marian Jung and Diego. Alex only needed to win the third heat to win his second Worldchampion title this year. The tension among the team was immense. The five laps seemed to be endless for the teammembers on the beach. But Alex didn´t give up his safe lead until the checked flag came down. I think you could have heard the screaming and cheering of the team over here in Europe. Also Max who again could not free himself out of the strong middle field cheering for his older brother. This wonderful weekend was finished by a perfect steak and a beer in the Longhorn Steakhouse where the whole italian team celebrate their three worldchampion titles that were won in Florida. It was a wonderful experience for all of us and we met a lot of very nice people over there in the US. We hope to meet the american drivers again in the future. P.S: Max sold his boat in Florida and I bet there will be a new boat lying under the christmas tree this year. We all hope for Max that a new boat will bring him some more luck.

15.09.2008 Il dottore srikes again!!!. Last weekend in Brandenburg (GER) was the second place enough for Alex to win the European Championship with 72 points in front of Marian Jung (SVK) with 64 points and Paul Jillings (GB) with 56 points. With this victory he made the triple perfect: World Champion, European Champion and Italian Champion 2008. The qualifying saturday was a thriller. At the end Marian Jung had the pole position in front of Alex. Also the first heat was won by Jung, Alex was second. Then the shock: During his usual check up of the boat after the first heat our mechanik Leo saw that the string of the steering wheel was almost broken. The team worked until late evening to change the string. In the free practice sunday morning Alex wanted to make some testing laps but the engine refuse to start. Again and again Leo and Max tried to start the engine but there was no chance until two minutes before the end of the free practice. Alex made one lap and prepared to make another full gas lap when the engine abruptly stoped... and only 30 min until the next start. Leo and Max let their tools fly and prepared the engine for the start of the second heat. What a relief when the three cylinder roared again. The start of the second heat was won by Jung again but Alex was close behind when Jung suddenly slowed down and stopped two laps later. Alex won the second heat with a big gap in front of all following. The third heat was won by Jung again. Alex engine broke down in the fourth lap. Again worked Leo and Max to prepare the boat for the last heat. The last heat was an easy win for Jung when Alex only cared to bring his second place safely over the finish line. After Alex saw the checkered flag the joy of the team was undescribable. He and Max made a little lap with the italian flag in front of the cheering spectators and after they came back to the jetty this time it was Wenke who made sure that he did not miss his champions bath. After the prizegiving ceremony we immediately start back to Italy for bringing the boat into the container for it´s journey to America. It was the most successful year for the C&B Team so far and we all are more than happy for our drivers Alex, Max and Diego. Guys you are the best!!! America we´re coming!!!

01.09.2008 Alex won the italian championship last weekend in Auronzo!!!. The fourth position was enough to win the titel with 67 points in front of Luigi Colombi (60 points) and Max (58 points). Also Max is very happy for his third position. For him it´s the first time on the podium for the italian championship. Max finished the race in Auronzo in a very good second position. Also Diego could extend his leadership in the italian championship with his victory in Auronzo. He now has 8 points lead over Tommaso Ghisani. The decision will be made in the last race on 28.09.2008 in Cremona. The whole team is very happy about that next title and we hope that Alex can make the "triple" by winning also the European Championship in Brandenburg in two weeks. We all cross our fingers for the the next races.

18.08.2008 We now have the second Worldchampion-Titel in our team!!! Diego is the new OSY400 Worldchampion!!! The decision was made literally in the last second. After a pretty rough training session he qualifyied in 5th position in his group and 10th over all. The first heat was restarted after a little flip of the leading Philip Franz. Diego was on 5th position on the jetty and won the battle for the first turn. He kept his leadership until the finish line. The second heat was a clear start-finish-victory for Diego. The start of the third heat was not of his best ones and Diego finished in 4th position. Winner of the second heat was Michal Kosut (SVK). The last heat was also won by Kosut. Diego had again a poor start and finished the heat in last position. So he had equal points to Kosut but the fastest time. 1.311sec decided over the Worldchampionship. The whole team is very proud and happy about Diego´s title. Great job Diego!!!

05.08.2008 This weekend Diego started for the C&B Team in Komarno in class Formula OSY400. But after the successful season so far he had a "black" weekend in Slovakia. In timetrial he had a good third position behind Miroslav Bazinsky (SVK) and Erzsebeth Lucas Ticska (GER) but in first heat on saturday he struggled with his boat and his technic and could only finish in 7th position. Also the second heat started unlucky. He had a little crash with Laura Stainyte in the first turn but could finish the race again in 7th position. The third heat started better he could battle himself to fourth position but in the last turn he made a "wheely" and finished in 8th position. He finished 9th in the final result and is now in the European Championship on 3rd position. We hope the next race in Jedovnice (6./7. September) will be more lucky for him.

28.07.2008 Last weekend the Cremona brothers started in Mora (SWE) for the European Championship in F250 (Max) and F350 (Alex). And it was a weekend full of emotions. It all started saturday afternoon with timetrial of F250. Max speeding to poleposition with a laptime of 35:87 sec. Behind him classified Luigi Colombi with 36.06 sec and Olle Dickfors (SWE) with 36:81 sec. Then came the timetrial for Alex in class F350. He couldn´t even finish the first lap when his engine stopped so suddenly that the back of the boat was jumping out of the water. After he came back to the jetty his mechanics had to repair the engine in only a few minutes so he could make another timed lap. And he finished this lap with the fabulous laptime of 32:97 sec. Behind him classified Marian Jung (SVK) with 35:34 sec and Paul Jillings (GB) with 36:06 sec. The first heats in both classes were won by the Cremona brothers. The second heat in class F250 on Sunday started perfect for Max. He could win the battle for the first turn and had a comfortable gap in front of Colombi until he suddenly slowed down. The engine stopped and he had to watch the race from the side. For Alex the second in F350 heat goes very well. He could finish first in front of Marian Jung and Paul Jillings. But then came heat number 3: Max could finish in his class in second position after Luigi Colombi without any problems but Alex suddenly slowed down and has to give up after only three laps. But fortunately the fourth heats went better for both of the brothers. Max struggled with his engine during the start but could battle himself through the field to position three what means second place in the final result for him. Alex could win the fourth heat and so won the race with maximum points. Max is now number two in the European Championship F250 and Alex could defend his first position in European Championship F350. The next race for Max is in Germany-Bitterfeld (09./10. August) and for Alex in Germany-Brandenburg (13./14. September).

19.07.2008 The last weekend in Borgoforte had ups and downs for the C&B Team. Alex could win the race and took over the leadership in the italien championship but Max had some problems with his engine in the first heat and could not finish. In the second heat he could finish third. He is now the new number two in the italian championship but with only one point lead over Luigi Colombi who dominated the season so far. Colombi struggled in both heats with his technic and could not finish. Diego fighted hard with a very fast Tommaso Ghisani but had to leave him the victory in both heats. He could finish second over all but still has the leadership in the italian championship.

29.06.2008 Last weekend was the home race for the C&B Team in San Nazzaro and again our three pilots were very successful. Diego startet together with 21 other drivers from 9 nations in the first round of the European Championship in class OSY400 and Max for the first round European Championship in class F250. Also Alex was racing in the F250 but only to hold Maxi`s back and present our sponsors because he concentrate this year on the class F350. Diego was qualifying on pole with a laptime of 1:02:00 in front of last year Worldchampion Sean Bernard (GB, 1:02:02) and Dominykas Stankevicius (LIT, 1:02:04). Diego was in top form and could win all three heats with a gap that was never less than 3sec. So he now leads the European Championship series in front of Miroslav Bazinsky (SVK) and Manuel Zambelli (ITA). Max and Alex were qualifying on third and fourth position in the starting grid behind a again incredible fast Luigi Colombi (ITA) and a this time surprisingly strong Daniele Mammucari (ITA). The first three heats were dominated by Luigi Colombi. Behind him battled Alex, Max, Daniele Mammucari and Salvator Chiuri for postions and points. At the end of that weekend stand Colombi on the highest step of the podium, behind him Mammucari, Alex and Max. Chiuri was fifth. But Colombi and Mammucari will likely not take part in any other race of the European Championship so Max has a very good basis for the following races in Sweden and Germany. The only dark cloud on this weekend was the bad accident of our friend Ronald Iemmi in the third heat in class OSY400. Two other drivers crashed into his boat in the turn and he was very hard hit in the left side of his body. He was operated two times in the following hours but it looks like his life is out of danger now and he slowly recovers from his injuries. Our thoughts are with you Ronny and we hope too have you back soon.

22.06.2008 Alex Cremona is Worldchampion in class O350!!!!!!! We are very proud and happy to announce that our driver Alex won the Worldchampionship last weekend in Stewardby (GB). With best time in free practice he showed that he would be one of the top drivers. In qualifying he was speeding to poleposition with 42.18sec what meant a 4sec gap in front of Ivan Copelli (46.72sec) and Paul Jillings (46.76sec). In the first heat he dominated the field from the start and finished three seconds in front of Ivan Copelli (ITA) and Salvatore Chiuri (ITA). Because of the bad weather forecast for sunday the race officials decided to race the second heat, that was actually planed fo Sunday, on Saturday too. After the first heat Alex had some problems with his hand and arm because of the very hard waterconditions but after another great start he could keep his gap in front of both Demmler Racing Team drivers Marian Jung (SVK) and Ilkka Rytkönen (FIN) and finished first. The Sunday brought the storm that was predicted so no racing could be done. After the drivers briefing at 2 o´clock in the afternoon, where the race officials decided that it´s impossible to race another heat, it was clear that Alex won the crown of the Worldchampion with 800 points. Our friends of the Demmler Racing Team made sure that Alex didn´t missed his “champions bath” in Lake Stewardby and also the obligatory champagne was squirt. It is the first world title for Alex, the 66th title (european and world) for a GRM engine and the first title for a hydroplane- BettaBoat. Congratulations Alex! The whole C&B Team is happy and damn proud of you!!!

16.06.2008 Last weekend the complete team startet on the chrystal waters of the beautiful lake Barcis. After a little crash in the free practice Diego Bacchiega could win both heats of the race for the Italian Championship in class OSY400 without any problems. Alex and Max Cremona had to fight harder for their 2nd and 3rd place in class 250. Alex battled in both heats with Luigi Colombi and Max with Daniele Mammucari. In the first heat could Alex win in front of Colombi, in the second heat he has to give up his leading position in the 5th lap to Colombi. The fastest lap decided in favour of Colombi. Another hot fight took place behind them between Max and Daniele Mammucari. Mammucari got the 3rd position in heat 1, Max was 4th. In the second heat Max could keep his 3rd position until he crossed the finish line followed by Mammucari. Also in this case decided the faster lap for Max. So the final result in class O250 was: Colombi 1st, Alex 2nd and Max 3rd. Congratulations to all three drivers of the C&B team for their well-deserved results. Next weekend Alex starts for us in the World Championship O-350 in Stewardby, England.

09.06.2008 Last weekend was the 2nd round of the F350 series in Znin (POL) and it was a great success for our driver Alex and a wonderful weekend for the C&B team. Beautiful weather, a much better race course than last year, great spectators and not a single accident were the “sugar on the cake” of that race. After a lot of problems with the engine the days before we didn´t came with high hopes to Znin and when the engine was broken in the free practice our fears seem to come true but in the qualifying Alex could win pole with a time of 37.17sec. What was more than 1sec faster than Salvatore Chiuri who could qualyfi in second position. Alex had to drive all four heats because after the second heat he was disqualified because of a broken pipe. But he could win all heats as easy as the hearts of the polish spectators that surrounded our box for autographs. Now we looking forward to the next weekend where the whole team will be in Barcis for the next race of the Italian Championship in class O250 and OSY400.

13.05.2008 With deeply grief we have to post this news, that our friend Janos Feil (HUN) lost his life in a tragic accident on Sunday, 11. May 2008 in the 3rd heat of the 1st round of the 350 European Championship. Janos was the current World and European Champion in this class and also the president of the Hungarian Powerboat Federation as well as the main organiser of the race in Szeged (HUN). He leaves a big gap in our racing community. Our thoughts are with his family. We will miss you Janos!

05.05.2008 The first race-weekend in Sacca di Colorno is over and it was very successful for the Cremona Brothers. Second and third place behind an unbeatable Luigi Colombi lay a good foundation for the Italian Championship and the qualification for the Worldchampionship in Florida (USA) in October. The timetrial was a real thriller. Colombi and Chiuri fighted for the pole-position. with a faboulus laptime of 46.6 sec closely followed by Chiuri with 47.0 sec. After those two came Alex with a laptime of 47.6 sec and Max with 48.2 sec. The first heat kept the promise that the timetrial made. Though Colombi run a pretty lonesome race in the front, behind him Max and Alex as well as Salvatore Chiuri gave the spectators something to yell for. The second and last heat was again a clear win for Colombi and a hot fight for the second position between the Cremonas. This time it was Alex who could win this fight. In the final result decided the faster heat the positions 2 (A.Cremona) and 3 (M.Cremona).

29. April 2008 Last weekend we completed the last test-session (watch the fotos in the gallery!) We are ready for the first race in Sacca di Colorno next weekend! For the C&B Racingteam will start Alex Cremona and Max Cremona, both in class O250 for italian championship. We hope to see you there.
